Chávez, Venezuela and the New Latin America is a groundbreaking new documentary by Aleida Guevara (Che Guevara’s daughter) that explores Venezuela’s explosive revolutionary terrain since April 2002, when Hugo Chávez survived a coup attempt instigated by the United States. The film features interviews with Hugo Chávez, President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela; and Jorge García Carneiro, newly appointed head of the Venezuelan Armed Forces; along with others who are involved in the country’s many social programs. This film affords a rare opportunity to glimpse through the blockade of information imposed by the United States into a country rich with hope, dreams and ... oil. (2004, 55 min., Spanish with English subtitles)

The A.N.S.W.E.R. Coalition office is located at 1247 E St. SE, at the corner of 13th and E Sts. (enter on 13th St.) - just a few blocks from the Potomac Ave. stop on the blue/orange line.
