The History of the Black Struggle in the U.S.

There has been a four-century-long struggle of African American people in the U.S. - from slavery to civil rights to liberation. Hurricane Katrina exposed the face of poverty, racism and oppression to the whole world. Come to a discussion on how the struggles of the past impact on the new phase of the movement for equality, liberation and social justice.

People will meet at the A.N.S.W.E.R. office (1247 E St. SE) on Wednesday, October 5 at 7:00 pm and on Saturday, October 8 at 12 noon to put up posters and make phone calls. You can also pick up flyers and posters at the A.N.S.W.E.R. office at any time, or print them out from the website and make copies.
