The Chicago Police Department, notorious for its acts of deadly brutality targeting Black people, struck again on July 14. 37-year-old Harith Augustus, a barber and beloved member of the community, was gunned down in broad daylight by CPD. A crowd soon gathered at the scene of the killing and staged a militant protest, which was violently attacked by police. Nevertheless, demonstrations have continued demanding justice.
